The White House rebuked CBS producer Chuck Lorre after he insulted President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump while accepting an honor at a Los Angeles charity gala for Project Angel Food. Spokesperson Davis Ingle urged Lorre to obtain psychiatric care, describing intense anti-Trump hostility that the statement said had damaged his intellect.
Lorre, known for creating The Big Bang Theory, had in 2019 alleged that Trump suffered from syphilis or congenital brain injury. Melania Trump earlier won an initial round of a 150 million dollar lawsuit against a blogger and a British newspaper over escort claims, later sent Hunter Biden a one billion dollar notice over alleged defamation, and rejected purported ties to Jeffrey Epstein. She has advanced her Fostering the Future work and led reunions of children displaced by the Russia-Ukraine war.
