Maryland Democratic Governor Wes Moore said Sunday on CNN that President Donald Trump treats the Constitution as optional rather than mandatory.

On State of the Union, Dana Bash asked for his reaction to the White House excluding three news organizations, one of them CNN.

Moore argued Trump has issues with press freedom, voting rights, and state powers. He said the founders put speech, press, and assembly rights first among constitutional guarantees. He linked the pattern to dissatisfaction with news coverage and called on the administration to read the Constitution more and talk less.
