Maryland Governor Wes Moore told CNN on Friday that President Donald Trump showed insufficient concern for the fighting underway in Iran after Trump described the situation in the Oval Office as a minor military matter of little consequence to the United States.
Moore said the president failed to consider eighteen families now grieving deaths, units that have lost personnel while serving abroad, and troops currently conducting operations at the request of the country and its commander in chief.
A veteran who deployed overseas and who confronts the aftermath of extended foreign campaigns, Moore added that Trump is losing no matter how he labels the conflict, an attitude Moore found unsurprising given the president’s record yet still infuriating.
