Family members of Americans killed by drivers who were in the country illegally are scheduled to speak at a hearing on Tuesday, September 15, about sanctuary laws.
Elizabeth Carter will address a crash that killed her son, caused by a truck driver who was in the country illegally and held a California commercial license. Anatoly Varfolomeev will speak about his daughter Anya, who was killed in California by a drunk driver who was in the country illegally.
Broome County, New York, Sheriff Frederick Akshar II will also appear. He is suing New York over its sanctuary laws.
