WATCH — Leftist Bill Ayers, Princeton Professor: ‘F**k the USA’ During Fourth of July ‘250 Years of Resistance’ Event

Listen to Article

Bill Ayers, the unrepentant Weather Underground bomber who once declared that more people—not fewer—should have died in the 1960s, stood on a Chicago stage the night before the Fourth of July and spat “F**k the USA” into a microphone while a Princeton professor nodded along. The “250 Years of Resistance” spectacle was staged in a city where Democratic governance has already produced some of the strictest gun laws and highest homicide rates in the nation, a perfect laboratory for the anti-American worldview on display. Ayers’ lifelong contempt for the founding principles that protect individual liberty was never abstract; his generation’s radicals openly fantasized about disarming citizens so the state could finish what their bombs started.

For the 2A community the message is unmistakable: the same ideological current that once firebombed ROTC buildings now seeks to finish the job through legislation, academic capture, and cultural contempt. Every time a tenured radical or Ivy League mouthpiece denounces the United States on its birthday, they are also denouncing the constitutional architecture—beginning with the Second Amendment—that prevents their utopian fantasies from being imposed by force. The event was not harmless theater; it was a reminder that the intellectual class still views armed, self-reliant citizens as the chief obstacle to their project of permanent revolution.

The practical takeaway is equally clear. While Ayers and his academic allies perform their ritual denunciations, millions of ordinary Americans are quietly exercising the right those radicals despise—training, organizing, and voting to keep the tools of resistance in private hands. The contrast could not be sharper: one side celebrates 250 years of ordered liberty secured by an armed populace; the other side openly roots for its destruction. The 2A community’s task is to ensure that the next 250 years are not handed over to people who have never stopped believing the country deserves to be burned down.
