Kacey Musgraves drew online boycott calls after urging Chicago concertgoers to donate to a group aiding children of deported parents. She opened her Middle of Nowhere Tour Friday at the United Center following cancellations of the original Chicago night and three other shows. She asked the audience to support the Young Center for Immigrant Children’s Rights and had sold stage clothes via Depop in April for the same cause.

The New York Post reported the boycott appeals. In July she posted a Dallas Morning News story on Instagram about Bible lessons in Texas schools and called the requirement indoctrination.
