The United Arab Emirates backed President Trump’s Gaza peace framework in a United Nations General Assembly speech on Monday. Minister of State Khalifa Shaheen al-Marar said the plan should be carried out in full, covering an Israeli withdrawal from Gaza, Hamas disarmament, and a path toward two states.

He named Iran for occupying islands claimed by the UAE and for threatening shipping in the Strait of Hormuz. He also pressed for a swift end to Sudan’s civil war and cited UAE mediation in the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

Al-Marar highlighted the UAE’s prosperity model, its role linking markets and capital, growing African partnerships, and spending on artificial intelligence, healthcare, education, and regional water security.
