United States Attorney Jeanine Pirro confirmed her District of Columbia office is investigating Representative Ilhan Omar finances separately from a Department of Justice and Department of Homeland Security immigration case. Homeland Security Investigations agents searched Omar Washington home on Monday.
On Fox News, Pirro confirmed the finances probe when John Roberts raised earlier net worth allegations and stated her office follows facts irrespective of the House or other agencies. The New York Times in January reported the Biden administration began an Omar finances investigation after multimillion dollar net worth reports since she was elected, while later reports involved the Somalia immigration birth date and a New York Post item on her office changing the public birth year from 1981 to 1982 after election.
Pirro observed that a Washington judge approved the search warrant close to the midterms and that several investigations are in progress with any crime to be prosecuted.
