She encouraged residents to return mail ballots promptly, citing the state’s consistently high turnout, same-day registration, and early voting that starts September 18, with more information on her campaign website.

Klobuchar pointed to a recent prime-time speech by Trump and expressed worry that he will not defend democratic norms. She said voters should still mail ballots regardless of court rulings in other states and should participate because she believes he seeks to weaken the system.
