CNN commentator Scott Jennings told The Arena audience on Wednesday that Donald Trump should publicly state that the United States has prevailed in its conflict with Iran.

Jennings said Iran already qualifies as beaten under every historical measure, that the country has shipped no oil since July, and that limited fighting may still occur even as American forces keep prevailing. He said the commander in chief should describe to the public how the conflict was won, how safety has improved, and how the outcome helps the world.

He added that politics should not set the timing and that credit should be claimed now that Iran is in disarray.
