A pro-Russian group named Server Killers said Wednesday it launched a traffic flood against Norwegian government digital services that started Monday. Digitalization Agency spokesman Are Kvistad called it the worst such event his agency has seen, yet the systems including a common login for public sites stayed available almost continuously.

The group wrote on Telegram that it was acting because Norway renewed security cooperation with Ukraine on August 23. On Sunday in Kyiv, Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre announced 85 billion kroner, equal to 9.2 billion dollars, for Ukraine in next year’s budget for the third year, plus more joint work on drones and modern warfare. Officials had not commented on the claim when the story went out.
