Senator Rick Scott of Florida appeared Wednesday on Fox Business Network program Mornings and addressed socialism after co-host Taylor Riggs cited growing public interest, especially among younger people, plus a Fox News survey in which 34 percent of voters named living costs and inflation as the top national problem.

Scott described his Rescue America effort as a vehicle for showing that socialist systems do not succeed and pointed to conditions in Cuba. He said the nation must keep the American dream intact.

He stated that over the past 50 years medical expenses rose 10 percent, school expenses rose 15 percent, and home prices rose 800 percent, and that those costs must be reduced.
