On NBC Meet the Press Sunday, Maryland Democrat Jamie Raskin said House Democrats could seek another impeachment of President Donald Trump if they take the chamber.

He called the process an available congressional option rather than a complete fix or an automatic step, and said members would apply it when they decided it was required. Raskin added that the Constitution assigned the power to lawmakers instead of the courts so they could balance it against other work, including restoring coverage after Medicaid reductions and the loss of Affordable Care Act tax credits that he said left millions uninsured.

Asked whether Trump has already met the constitutional threshold, Raskin said yes. He listed unauthorized military action, repeated refusals to follow congressional spending decisions, demolition of the White House East Wing, and what he described as the most corrupt presidency in American history through large-scale diversion of public money.
