Georgia Democratic Senator Raphael Warnock told the MS NOW program Deadline on Wednesday that President Donald Trump lacks faith in the country and in democratic government. Warnock portrayed the president as a desperate figure clinging to office and prepared to take any step, tying alleged pressure on free speech and voting to what he called a failed term.

He said voters had hired Trump to reduce grocery, fuel, and health costs, yet those prices rose, with insurance premiums doubling, and that an eight-month conflict he called an unlawful war of choice broke a pledge to avoid endless wars. Warnock added that Trump knows voters are approaching, so he tries to block journalists from reporting on government spending of public money and to undermine elections.

Warnock, from the mixed political state of Georgia, said he represents both Democratic and Republican constituents and friends and that Trump has not delivered on his promises.
