Illinois Governor JB Pritzker told CNN on Wednesday that President Donald Trump will probably dispatch ICE and Border Patrol agents in camouflage with automatic firearms to voting locations. Illinois blocked National Guard street deployments through the Supreme Court, but cannot stop ICE or CBP, which Trump already sent to Chicago, the rest of Illinois, and Minnesota.
Pritzker believes Trump may still use those agencies at election time. Governors will safeguard voting by arranging escorts, and Illinois law keeps the agents 100 feet from polling places.
