Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt spoke Friday on NewsNation Morning in America about immigration policy at job sites. He said officers should keep enforcement away from workplaces because those visits have driven cattle product costs higher.
Stitt said there is consensus that violent offenders should be removed from the country. He opposed ICE presence at employment locations after agents appeared at Kansas meat plants, which he linked to higher prices and disruption of the sector.
He urged a clear limit so federal agencies do not carry out such work at job sites.
