When Democrats lose elections, their first thought is to destroy the Constitution and our current system of government, and the latest push for “proportional representation” in the House is just the newest flavor of that same old poison. The poll they’re waving around is less a genuine cry for fairness than a calculated attempt to rig the rules so that urban strongholds can override the flyover states that still believe in the Bill of Rights. Proportional representation would shrink the electoral map to a handful of dense metro areas, effectively erasing the rural and suburban voters who remain the backbone of Second Amendment support. In practice, it would turn the House into a national popular-vote do-over every two years, handing permanent majorities to whichever party can flood the zone with mail-in ballots from the coasts.
