Police arrested 31-year-old gun control advocate Jonathan Andrew Tijerina on Monday after he allegedly used red spray paint to put his anti-gun site address on the Reflecting Pool at the September 11 memorial in Manhattan. He filmed the act from approach through writing across panels over victims names and posted the video. Officials said the place honors 2,983 people killed on 11 September 2001 and 26 February 1993, staff and police restored the area at once, while his site seeks civil resistance toward universal background checks and a universal gun registry.
