On Tuesday, Connecticut Democratic Senator Chris Murphy told Deadline host Nicolle Wallace that Democratic majorities in both chambers after the midterms would trigger probes of the Trump administration.

Murphy said lawmakers would then issue subpoenas for related records, in line with requests made this week by Republican Senator John Curtis. He also said Democrats would advance bills in the House and Senate, including one that bars Kremlin gifts to the president’s children, and that Republicans would struggle to oppose such a measure.

He said the work would expose how the corruption operates and who profits from it.
