Senator Chris Murphy of Connecticut told viewers of MS NOW’s All In on Wednesday that Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents are causing trauma to children on purpose.

Thousands of people from across Connecticut gathered in Danbury that evening to demand that ICE leave if it keeps using those methods there. Murphy said agents appeared at school bus stops as classes began, let children board, and then detained the parents so the students came home without them.

He said the approach is still occurring in the state as far as he knows. The crowd mixed Republicans and Democrats, and he believes the turnout will affect Danbury at least.
