Former New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu spoke Thursday on CNN program The Source and called President Donald Trump detached from reality.

Landrieu said the president displays poor judgment after recently embracing North Korea’s leader while attacking South Korea and now treating Canada similarly. He noted that Trump’s policies damage Maine blueberry growers, lobster fishers and coastal residents while Senator Susan Collins campaigns for reelection there, and that they raise expenses for all Americans. Landrieu added that Trump believes he can rewrite basic facts by executive order because he views himself as all-powerful, a stance that should alarm the public given his nuclear launch authority.

Landrieu said Americans are watching closely, reject chaotic or corrupt rule, want lower prices and focused leadership, and will require elected officials to provide them.
