Senator Mark Kelly of Arizona told host Jen Psaki on Wednesday that midterm voters will reject Vice President JD Vance’s appeal for another chance. Speaking on MS NOW’s The Briefing after campaigning around the country, Kelly argued that Americans already experienced an unsuccessful first term under President Donald Trump and see the current term as unsuccessful as well.

Kelly said the public is more perceptive than politicians often assume and will not accept another period of that leadership. He noted that promised payments tied to spending reductions and to tariffs never arrived, even though households bore the cost of the tariffs.

He added that rebuilding after this period will take time and that voters will not be deceived again after repeated unfulfilled pledges.
