When one enumerated right can be rhetorically delegitimized by fashionable campus slogans, the precedent is set for the rest; the same activists who chant for Israel’s elimination have already turned their sights on the Second Amendment as “white supremacy,” and the party’s rising donor class is listening. Ossoff’s predicament is therefore not a niche identity story but a warning flare: if Jewish Democrats are being sidelined for refusing to denounce the Jewish state, pro-2A Democrats who refuse to denounce the right to keep and bear arms will be next on the purity-test conveyor belt.

The deeper implication is strategic.
