Bill Maher told viewers of HBO Real Time on Friday that Democrats such as Georgia Senator Jon Ossoff and Senate candidate Roy Cooper sit apart from their party’s far edge yet still decline to challenge it.

Jessica Tarlov, co-host of the Raging Moderates podcast and of Fox News The Five, pointed out that Ossoff, Cooper and similar Democrats focus on living costs, health care and government corruption, and that those topics are connecting with a wide audience.

Maher agreed the pair discuss costs and health care but added that they still refrain from confronting the far edge of their own party.
