Former New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu appeared Saturday on MS NOW’s The Weekend. He said Donald Trump has completed six years in office while working-class economic conditions remain poor.
Landrieu asserted that voters will deem the presidency a failure after unkept promises sent policy in the reverse direction and generated feelings of betrayal. He linked high costs to administration choices, including conflict-driven rises in fuel and food, healthcare expenses from recent legislation, and added strain from tariffs.
He noted that families continue raising these issues while the president cites respectful visits instead of reducing grocery bills, and he said Democrats have identified strong candidates as the public senses a dangerous trajectory.
