On a Tuesday CBS interview program, Democratic House nominee Brad Lander said he welcomes partnership efforts from people who reject Israel remaining a Jewish country, because those people understand he seeks to halt American military funding for Israel.

Recounting a clash with anti-Zionist critics, Lander said many Palestinians on social media had spoken up for him. They conceded they differ with him on various issues, including some preference for one shared country rather than separate Jewish and Palestinian ones, yet still called for wider alliances given his aid stance and his work for Palestinian rights and liberty.

Lander also said a few foolish people among large numbers of others should not stop anyone from forming interfaith groups that pursue justice.
