History shows that when governments weaken, firearms flow to the highest bidder; an Iran unshackled from even rhetorical non-proliferation norms only accelerates that risk.

The lesson for the 2A community is straightforward: every round of ammunition on American shelves and every lawfully owned semi-automatic rifle in a citizen’s safe is a tangible hedge against the day when foreign policy failures abroad translate into security threats at home. Rather than waiting for another round of feckless sanctions or photo-op diplomacy, gun owners should treat Rep. Khanna’s warning as Exhibit A in the case for an armed, trained, and resolute populace—because when regimes stop pretending they won’t cross the nuclear Rubicon, the only reliable backstop is the one the Founders enshrined in the Bill of Rights.
