On Tuesday Arizona Democratic Senator Mark Kelly told MS NOW’s The Weeknight that President Donald Trump and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth ought to remain uninvolved in the midterm elections.

Kelly called Hegseth the least qualified person ever to serve as defense secretary and said he has little faith in either man on election matters. He said states should run the contests without federal involvement and that interference by other countries is a genuine problem.

With 35 days left Kelly said Democrats could recapture the House and Senate to deliver the oversight the public wants. He described the president as more corrupt than any prior official at any level of government and said many Americans cannot pay for health care, gasoline, groceries or rent, so Congress must pass help.
