During an interview with CBS News Chief Washington Correspondent Major Garrett, John James recalled voting for sanctions targeting Russia. He referred queries on cutting intelligence aid Ukraine relies on to counter Russian missiles, pushing for a different Ukrainian president, and ending penalties on Russian diesel sales to the president.
James identified Russia as the opposing nation, in contrast to Abdul El-Sayed, a Senate contender who on a debate stage days earlier was unable to identify helpers versus harmers or to determine the greater U.S. injury from Iran or from Israel. James stated he would persist in supporting partners at home and abroad in Congress and as Michigan governor.
