On Saturday, Washington Democrat Pramila Jayapal told MSNOW Connect that Donald Trump means to remove the entire population of naturalized Americans from the country. Jayapal identified herself as a naturalized citizen and said the president is working to strip citizenship as well, warning that neither naturalization, a clean record, nor work papers would shield anyone.

She said immigration overhaul was her reason for entering Congress. She also said she became the first House member to enter a family-separation detention site and spoke with mothers and fathers after their infants were taken. She argued that current enforcement includes sending people to nations they have never visited, street seizures, and a recent shooting in the back in Austin, Texas, and said such conduct by the United States astonished her.
