On Tuesday’s Hannity broadcast, House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan discussed the panel’s inquiry into former special counsel Jack Smith’s work on the January 6 2021 events.
Jordan told Sean Hannity the inquiry uncovered more than expected and that Smith took extensive steps to keep Trump from office. The committee referred Smith for lying under oath about access to members of Congress messages rather than records alone, and it is reviewing further matters including attempts to stop Trump from speaking.
Jordan said the inquiry obtained live details of Susie Wiles calls, including participants, timing and length, and similar steps involving the first lady, first family and later White House chief of staff. He tied the episode to 2016 campaign surveillance and a dossier, a 2020 letter from former intelligence officials on a laptop, and Smith’s 2024 push to charge Trump and keep him from office.
