Hasan Piker told Axios correspondent Alex Thompson that the United States is worse than al-Qaeda when deaths are compared. He pointed to a reported American missile that struck an elementary school in Minab, Iran, killing 140 girls, and said that outcome is terrorism, while adding that Americans as a whole are not terrorists and that officials must be held responsible so it does not recur.

In July he addressed College Democrats for America in Washington in a Mao Zedong style suit and has declined to criticize Mao, whose government killed tens of millions. An August 2026 video showed him waving off claims that he and Michigan Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed hate the United States, even though a 2022 clip records him saying he hates America.

Senator Rick Scott said Piker, Mamdani, and AOC run the Democratic Party, that Chuck Schumer backs AOC to avoid a primary, and that a Democratic vote supports socialism, open borders, men in women’s sports, higher taxes, larger government, and less freedom.
