Gretchen Carlson said on CNN Thursday that Americans would rise up if President Donald Trump destroyed the Kennedy Center.

Speaking on The Arena, she called the idea disrespectful and said Trump did not construct the building. She accused Howard Lutnick of lying and argued Trump would not proceed because of that public reaction.

Carlson also said Lutnick claimed Trump spends weekdays discussing construction while a war in Iran remains unresolved, Lake Ontario would be renamed Lake America, and remarks about the reflecting pool went unaddressed, with little focus on the economy. Host Kasie Hunt urged caution with language that implies violence, which she said no one was suggesting.
