Republican Sen. Bill Cassidy of Louisiana said Thursday on NewsNation Live that entering war with Iran looked like a misstep from the outset. He added that the intended aims of that conflict remain unmet.
When host Nichole Berlie asked what would return relations with Iran toward peace, Cassidy said the economic measures now in force look like the strongest course that avoids sending troops into the country. He called the circumstances difficult and said leaders must proceed from the situation as it now exists.
