Florida Republican Representative Anna Paulina Luna spoke Thursday on Fox News Channel program Jesse Watters Primetime about Republican energy ahead of the November election. She said grassroots supporters were enthusiastic while an effort was underway to keep Republicans from turning out, which she attributed to overseas actors and specifically to China.
Luna said a convention the day before filled as more people arrived after she addressed it in the late afternoon Eastern time, including many younger attendees and online personalities. She said she was countering a defeatist view circulating online and told viewers that much of the national division, along with the effort to stop Republicans from backing the current administration and party candidates this cycle, was financed and driven from abroad, with much of it connected to China.
She urged supporters to vote and bring friends to the polls, said Republicans had advanced issues that matter to Americans, and said she expected further gains in the midterms.
