Texas Republican Representative Brandon Gill appeared on Fox News Sunday Morning Futures to preview his speech at this week’s Republican National Convention, which aims to strengthen the party’s midterm chances. He said Democrats may apply various names to their politics but the result they seek is communism.

Gill described a November choice between keeping the current president’s border security, economic progress, and inflation drop from a 9 percent high to 2 or 3 percent, or reverting to Biden-era mass border crossings, 9 percent inflation, and high drug prices later cut 60 percent. He asserted that extreme activists now run the Democratic Party and discuss defunding police as well as ending the presidency, the Senate, and the Department of War.
