On Friday, Texas Republican Representative Brandon Gill appeared on Fox News Channel program The Ingraham Angle to discuss online streamer Hasan Piker, who has supported several notable candidates in the 2026 election cycle.

Gill said Piker courts young viewers with content rooted in hostility toward America and draws on lasting youth frustration over weaker economic chances and less mobility than earlier generations. He added that Piker offers no route to advancement and instead paints the country as wicked and in need of total overhaul, which drives his policy ideas.

Gill cited Piker remarks that America merited the September 11 attacks and that streets should fill with capitalist blood, calling the comments radical and extreme. He asked ordinary Democratic voters who find such talk insane and repulsive whether they want their party ideologically steered by someone like Piker.
