Farage’s Reform UK Party Vows Tax Cuts for 40 Million Britons Within 100 Days If Elected

Listen to Article

Reform UK said at its Birmingham conference on Saturday that it would lift the income tax personal allowance from 12570 pounds to 15000 pounds within 100 days of taking office, a step Robert Jenrick said would help about 40 million people. Jenrick, chosen by Nigel Farage to run the Treasury after a possible win, tied the change to 108 billion pounds in spending reductions, including 50 billion pounds from welfare by blocking benefits for foreign citizens, and said he would resign with a pre-signed letter if the deadline was missed.

The party suspended Dan Jukes and James Orr after activist footage alleged they accepted donations and commissioned a poll from a fake American donor; Reform denied wrongdoing and Farage said no election rules were broken. Farage signed a Channel migrant boat pushback deal on stage with French National Rally leader Jordan Bardella. Deputy leader Richard Tice said average household energy bills would fall 250 pounds a year by ending carbon taxes on generators and VAT on consumer energy.
