House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan told a radio program that Democratic immigration measures intend to weaken the United States. He cited local areas covering nearly one third of residents where officials direct police not to help federal officers with migrants who face additional charges.

Jordan described a sequence he linked to opponents that began with ten million entries under the prior administration, continued with those noncooperative zones, then withheld funds from the enforcement agency and caused two government shutdowns, and now seeks to eliminate the agency so no one applies immigration statutes. He said the same groups oppose America and Israel among 193 nations because both were founded for distinct missions of individual liberty and a secure homeland for Jewish people after persecution elsewhere.
