Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers recently took into custody multiple people living in the United States without legal status after those individuals had been convicted of murder, reckless homicide, sexual crimes involving children, child abuse, forced sodomy, assault, drug offenses, burglary, and fraud.

Among them were a Laotian man and a Cuban man each previously found guilty of murder, a Mexican man convicted of reckless homicide, and others from Mexico, the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, and Micronesia whose records included lewd acts with a child under 14, sexual abuse of a minor, sexual assault of a child, child abuse causing great bodily injury or death, and neglect of a dependent.

Further arrests involved people from El Salvador, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, and Nigeria convicted of assault and weapons possession, heroin conspiracy, controlled-substance delivery, fentanyl distribution, burglary and larceny, and fraud plus unlawful reentry.
