Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers this week took into custody several people in the United States without legal status who had prior convictions for serious crimes, including child sexual abuse, rape, and kidnapping.

Among those detained was Manuel Victores-Alzola of Cuba, who had three convictions in Miami, Florida, for a sexual act with a related child. Agents also arrested Jeffry Rivera-Vargas of Honduras after convictions for kidnapping and rape in Franklin County, Ohio, and Diego Miguel-Juan of Guatemala after a conviction in Iowa for distributing child pornography.

Bladimir Morel of the Dominican Republic was arrested following Pennsylvania convictions for robbery, unlawful firearm use, and drug distribution. Ronald Alberto Aguilar-Contreras of El Salvador was taken into custody after a first-degree assault conviction in Baltimore, Maryland.
