Republican Casey Askar, seeking Floridas 22nd House seat, told Breitbart News Daily that Democrat Pia Dandiya belongs to the partys socialist extreme left. Dandiya serves as a high school principal and taught earlier in Harlem, New York.

Askar said the district now leans Republican by five points and covers Collier County, his home of 25 years, along with Palm Beach County, Broward County where independents make the contest harder, and Henry County which shares west-coast conservative leanings. He added that the campaign needs donations because it is outspent, just as in the primary when rivals spent more than 12 million dollars against his 3 million yet he prevailed by 13 points.

He pointed to a 32-year record of backing local enterprise over large finance, his lifelong Republican and Christian conservative identity, and his aim to preserve the countrys Jewish and Christian foundations as the contrast he will stress.
