Senator Bernie Moreno of Ohio told a Breitbart News roundtable that Democratic control of Congress would halt President Trump’s remaining legislative goals and could ban voter identification in the 32 states that now require it.

He argued a Republican loss would stall any Supreme Court vacancy, produce a two-year impeachment campaign, and prompt cabinet officials to resign without confirmed successors.

Moreno further said Democrats would ready the border for reopening once Trump leaves office, revive large federal agencies and regulations, raise taxes, and expand government control of health care, pointing to California’s costly gasoline as the product of policies designed to end fossil fuels.
