Jarrod Agen, executive director of the National Energy Dominance Council, told Fox Business on Thursday that no talks have occurred about restricting or banning diesel exports. The United States now leads the world as an oil and gas producer and exporter, and officials want to retain that standing.

The council is putting other measures into place right away to assist domestic oil and gas and bring prices down. Agen said the president is concentrating on raising capacity, with refining as the main factor.
