He stated the company closed a terms of service violation last week and distinguished the commercial product from Starshield, which the United States government controls.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio said he was unaware of any White House involvement beforehand and that a private contract governs usage. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky later reported that service speeds had returned to required levels. Musk also asserted SpaceX has provided more defense aid to Ukraine than any other private firm.
