Abdul El-Sayed apologized Wednesday on NBC Nightly News for comments about the Temple Israel attack. The Michigan Democratic Senate nominee said the words had been a mistake at the time.
He spoke after seeing a sign from a Jewish Democrat who supports Republican opponent Mike Rogers. El-Sayed then called on people to unite against Donald Trump policies that increase prices for gas and groceries in order to save democracy.
