Democratic Senate hopeful Abdul El-Sayed of Michigan spoke Wednesday on the MS NOW show The Weeknight about Vice President JD Vance. He portrayed Vance as someone whose manner turns people off.

After co-host Luke Russert played Vance’s Monday Kansas rally comments calling El-Sayed a Republican talking-point generator who connected Sharia-law critiques to white supremacy, El-Sayed accused Vance of topic-shifting, questioned the geography instruction at Ohio State, and pointed out Vance discussed a Michigan race while in Kansas.

El-Sayed insisted his identity and faith do not inflate fuel or grocery costs, prevent home buying, or restrict medical care, blaming instead Trump, Vance, and Mike Rogers, and said emphasizing those points helps win elections. He stated Michigan voters skip the national topics Vance favors.
