Democrats Showcase How Much They Despise America: from ‘Great Satan’ to Denouncing Declaration of Independence

Listen to Article

Democrats’ open contempt for the founding principles that made this nation exceptional isn’t just rhetorical theater—it’s a direct threat to the constitutional architecture that protects every other right, including the Second Amendment. When candidates and sitting lawmakers treat the Declaration’s assertion that governments derive “their just powers from the consent of the governed” as outdated or problematic, they are laying ideological groundwork to treat the Bill of Rights itself as optional. The same logic that reframes the founding as irredeemably tainted is already being used to argue that an individual right to keep and bear arms is a dangerous anachronism rather than a safeguard against tyranny.

For the 2A community, this is more than culture-war noise; it is a preview of the legal and political environment that will greet any future Democratic trifecta. Lawmakers who publicly distance themselves from the Declaration’s natural-rights framework have little philosophical barrier to supporting “public-safety” restrictions that treat gun ownership as a privilege granted by the state rather than an inherent liberty. Recent state-level experiments with magazine bans, permitting regimes, and red-flag laws already demonstrate how quickly that mindset translates into policy once institutional resistance is removed.

The practical takeaway is that electoral complacency is no longer affordable. Grass-roots mobilization, state-level sanctuary legislation, and relentless scrutiny of judicial nominees are the only reliable backstops against a political class that views the American experiment—and the armed citizen—as obstacles rather than assets.
