She tied that habit to slavery’s aftermath and said the work should instead be shared so the whole community advances together rather than anyone racing ahead.

The former Atlanta mayor and Biden adviser, who seeks the governorship, told CNN she would match Biden’s Georgia results against Trump’s and cited living costs, grocery prices, health expenses, and half a million residents who skipped coverage after recent legislation. In her campaign launch she called Trump an economic and national failure over prices and an unelected billionaire’s role in Medicare and Social Security cuts, adding that her grandmother’s lesson to rise after every blow is why she is running so families get more than Republicans now offer.
