Democratic Representative Johnny Olszewski of Maryland told CNN on Wednesday that Democrats would treat removal of President Donald Trump from office as a priority if they win the House in the midterm elections.

He told host Kate Bolduan that Trump had committed acts that could support that step and that the party should explain those acts to voters while also working to cut prices and curb graft. Olszewski said a Democratic majority should make accountability for the current White House and wider anti-graft work a core aim, covering alleged personal profits by Trump through crypto activity and aircraft from Qatar plus internal steps such as a ban on lawmakers trading stocks, since graft imposes costs on the public. He added that he would support impeachment if inquiries produced that result.
